TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of copticbusinessnetwork.com and the services offered by Coptic Business Network (“CBN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the website or submitting information to CBN, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
1. PURPOSE OF THE NETWORK
CBN is designed to help professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, students, job seekers, mentors, employers, service providers, nonprofits, sponsors, and community partners connect through trusted relationships and practical opportunities. CBN is a networking and information platform; it is not a guarantor, employer, staffing agency, investment adviser, law firm, accounting firm, or professional licensing body.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCURATE INFORMATION
You must be at least 18 years old to use the services. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it when necessary. You are responsible for activity associated with information or accounts you submit or control.
3. APPLICATIONS AND MEMBERSHIP
Submitting an application does not guarantee membership, directory publication, an introduction, event admission, or any other benefit. CBN may review, approve, decline, suspend, or remove applications, profiles, content, or participation when reasonably necessary to protect the mission, safety, quality, or integrity of the network.
4. DIRECTORY PROFILES
You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content for directory publication, you grant CBN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content for operating and promoting the network until you withdraw your consent or the content is removed. You represent that you have the right to provide the content and that it is accurate and not misleading.
5. INTRODUCTIONS, REFERRALS, AND OPPORTUNITIES
CBN may facilitate introductions, referrals, mentorship, hiring, business, sponsorship, speaking, investment, volunteer, or other opportunities. CBN does not endorse or guarantee any participant, service, product, credential, employment outcome, transaction, payment, return, or relationship. You are responsible for your own due diligence, professional advice, agreements, licensing, insurance, background checks, and decisions.
6. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
• Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, business, products, or intentions.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, or harm another person.
• Use the network for fraud, unlawful activity, spam, scraping, unauthorized solicitation, or deceptive marketing.
• Upload content that infringes rights, violates privacy, contains malware, or is unlawful.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, systems, accounts, or data.
• Collect or use member information outside the purpose for which it was shared.
7. EMAIL AND TEXT MESSAGE TERMS
When you provide contact information, CBN may send service-related communications about applications, profiles, directory status, requested referrals, events, resources, membership, and other services you request. If you separately opt in to marketing, CBN may also send networking opportunities, event announcements, membership updates, partner offers, and other promotional messages. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. Contact your carrier for details.
You may cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP. After you send STOP, CBN will send a confirmation message and will no longer send text messages to that number unless you later opt in again. To resubscribe, complete the opt-in form again at https://copticbusinessnetwork.com/join or reply START where supported.

8. EVENTS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Events, websites, products, services, job listings, and resources may be offered by third parties. Separate terms, privacy policies, fees, waivers, or eligibility requirements may apply. CBN is not responsible for third-party content, availability, conduct, products, services, or transactions.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The CBN name, branding, website design, original content, and platform materials are owned by CBN or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit them without written permission, except as allowed by law.
10. PRIVACY
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the CBN Privacy Policy at https://copticbusinessnetwork.com/privacy-policy. Directory and introduction information is handled according to the preferences and authorization you provide.
11. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CBN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CBN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONNECTION OR OPPORTUNITY WILL PRODUCE A PARTICULAR RESULT.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CBN AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, LOSS OF DATA, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM MEMBER OR THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, CBN’S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID CBN FOR THE RELEVANT SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
13. INDEMNIFICATION
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CBN and its directors, officers, volunteers, employees, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your content, conduct, use of the services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.
14. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
You may stop using the services at any time. CBN may restrict, suspend, or terminate access or participation when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or systems, comply with law, or preserve network integrity. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
15. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to applicable law, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Queens County, New York.
16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
